Dr. Denise Goodman
Dr. Denise Goodman received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees at State University of New York at Buffalo. While in Buffalo, she researched at Roswell Park Cancer Research Institute on a National Institutes of Health grant funded project. Dr. Goodman graduated from Tufts University of Dental Medicine in 1979. During her training, she became interested in pediatric dentistry and was drawn to the unique challenges of caring for children.
Dr. Goodman completed her specialty degree in pediatric dentistry at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles in 1981. For the past 25 years she has been working with Dr. William Chan in Cumberland. She also works with a mobile dental company that serves the Armed Forces National Guard in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and American Samoa. Additionally, Dr. Goodman also volunteered as a member of Project Stretch, a global reach dental non-profit organization, treating children in Mexico and Venezuela.
Dr. Goodman has been the recipient of numerous awards, including being voted a Top Doc in Rhode Island Monthly Magazine by her peers. She is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Rhode Island Dental Association (RIDA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
In her leisure time, Dr. Goodman enjoys swimming, water sports, skiing, biking, and dancing. She also likes to travel and discover new cultures. She especially enjoys cooking recipes from her travels for family and friends.
